The Process of Making AI Videos
Let’s start with a quick overview:
- Generate images using Midjourney
- Use Kling to turn those AI images into videos
- Combine the videos you’ve created
That’s basically all there is to it.
There is a way to generate video right from the start using other methods, but it doesn’t produce very high-quality results.
So, let’s begin by creating images first.
As an example, let's try making a moving “apple monster.”
1) Generate an “Apple Monster” Image
First, we use an image-generation AI tool called Midjourney to create an AI image.
There are many AI image-generation tools, but Midjourney is affordable and highly capable.
In fact, 90% of my projects start with generating an image on Midjourney.

It’s very simple to use: just type a description of the image you want to create in the prompt field.
Let’s try typing “apple monster” to see what happens.
You’ll see that Midjourney has generated an image of an apple monster.
For instance, if you add the word “blue”, it will generate a blue-themed image.
You could also add a location, like “at kitchen.”
By adding just a few words, you can get closer to the exact image you want.
To create higher-quality images, you’d need more detailed prompts. However, let’s move on to turning these images into a video for now.
2) Use a Video Generation AI Tool to Animate the Image
Now let’s try animating the monster.
There are many video-generation AI tools, but I mainly use Kling.
It’s also very easy to use. After registering an account, just upload the image you created.
Click on the "Video" section.
On the next screen, select the "Image to Video" tab, and you'll see an area where you can drop your image.
Drag and drop the image you wish to turn into a video here. Once uploaded, your image will appear on the screen, indicating it's ready for processing.
Scroll down slightly, and you'll find a text box labeled "Prompt."
Here, enter a description of how you'd like your image animated. For example, instruct the monster to smile.
After entering your prompt, simply click the "Generate" button and wait about a minute for your video to be created.
You’ll see the image now has movement.
I usually try multiple times until I get a video I really like, but sometimes I get a perfect result on the first try.
That’s the fun of creating AI videos!
3) Combine the Videos You’ve Created
Next, make several videos in the same way. Once you’ve created a few, just edit them together into a longer video.
If you’re not used to video editing software, you can even use Instagram’s editing features.
Anyone can easily create an edited video with music.
That’s the simple process for making AI videos.
